Curriculum map for Year 2
This week Year 2 have had lots of fun in Science. We were investigating ways in which we could change materials in order to make the strongest bridge. We have also been learning about oceans and seas and about the creatures that live on the Great Barrier Reef.
Working hard again in Year 2
Year 2 have had another busy and hardworking week. We have been using our atlases to learn about the seas and oceans. We have enjoyed reading a new book called The Boss Dog of Blossom Street and we had lots of fun planning our own versions of the story. We have also been using bar modelling to help us to solve maths problems.
Hard at work again in Year 2
Year two have been working very hard this week. We have tried to write with ink and quill pens like Samuel Pepys. In RE we learnt about the anointing of the sick and we have written some prayers.
Year 2 have had a very busy week this week. We have created our own versions of Roger McGough's poem, 'The Sound Collector' and we have been working as historians to find out what the houses were like at the time of the Great Fire of London. We created our own model of Pudding Lane.
All our hard work in year 2
Year 2 have had a fantastic first week back. In Maths we have been exploring how to represent numbers in different ways and we have written some poetry - look at our beautiful handwriting!
