Life at St. Francis
At St. Francis, every day is full of energy, opportunity, and unforgettable moments. From the moment our students walk through the gates, they are part of a vibrant and caring school community where learning goes far beyond the classroom.
We’re proud to share a glimpse into life at St. Francis through a gallery of photos that capture the incredible range of experiences our students enjoy throughout the year – across every year group and in every corner of school life.
Whether it’s hands-on science experiments, energetic PE lessons, creative art projects, or peaceful moments of reflection in prayer and worship, these photos tell the story of a school where every child is known, nurtured, and encouraged to shine.
Our students get involved in:

Fr. Hudson Caritas fundraising 2025
💰 Coin Trail for a Cause – St. Francis Raises Over £1,000 for Father Hudson’s Care! 🙌
What a fantastic day of fun, creativity, and generosity we had at St. Francis School as we came together to raise money for Father Hudson’s Caritas, a charity close to our hearts that supports vulnerable children, adults, and families across the Archdiocese.
In the lead-up to the event, pupils were encouraged to hunt through drawers, down the backs of sofas, and in every spare change jar at home to bring in their old coins – and they did not disappoint! On the big day, our playground was transformed into a shimmering sea of silver and bronze as every class took part in creating our spectacular coin trail.
The children worked together to make all sorts of exciting shapes and patterns with their coins – from spirals and stars to hearts and smiley faces. One of the highlights was when the whole school helped to spell out “St. Francis” using the coins – a proud and glittering display of teamwork and school spirit.
The atmosphere was full of energy and excitement as pupils marvelled at the designs and celebrated the difference their efforts were making. Staff and students alike were blown away by the generosity shown across the school community.
Thanks to everyone’s kindness and creativity, we are thrilled to announce that St. Francis raised over £1,000 for Father Hudson’s Care!
This brilliant total will go a long way in helping the charity continue its vital work supporting those in need – and it shows the power of coming together for a good cause, one coin at a time.
A huge thank you to all our families for your support, and to the children for your enthusiasm and effort in making the day such a success. Check out the photos below to see some of the incredible designs our pupils created!
Well done, St. Francis – you’ve truly made a difference!

Mother's day 2025
Over two afternoons St. Francis was filled with smiles, songs, and the sweet scent of cakes as we welcomed our wonderful mums, grandmas, and special ladies for a truly delightful Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea.
As our guests arrived, they were greeted with a sparkling glass of Shloer and taken to their seats by the best hosts of all – their own children! With huge pride and excitement, the children served their guests with a selection of sweet treats and goodies, making sure they felt every bit as special as they are.
The school hall was beautifully decorated and buzzing with joy as our students took to the stage to perform a series of heartwarming songs, especially prepared for the occasion. Their voices filled the room with love and brought more than a few happy tears to the eyes of our guests!
From chocolate brownies to cupcakes, and from shortbread to scones, there was no shortage of delicious bites – and the children did an excellent job making sure every plate and teacup was topped up with care.
It was a truly memorable afternoon, full of laughter, hugs, and the kind of moments that remind us why our school community is so special. The children loved having the chance to say thank you in such a personal way, and our guests left feeling truly appreciated and cherished.
A huge thank you to all the staff who helped organise the event, and to our wonderful families for joining us – your presence made the day even more meaningful.
We hope you enjoy the photos below capturing the joy, pride, and love shared during our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea.

Fluffy little friends
Say Hello to Our New Feathered Friends in Reception!
There’s been a very special addition to life in Reception at St. Francis School this term – a brood of adorable, fluffy chicks!
Our youngest pupils have been filled with excitement and wonder as they’ve watched the chicks grow right before their eyes. From the moment the eggs arrived, the children have been involved in every step of the journey – learning about the life cycle of a chicken, caring for the chicks with huge smiles and even bigger hearts.
The children have taken their new responsibilities very seriously – feeding the chicks, gently holding them, keeping their space clean, and making sure they feel loved and safe. It’s been a fantastic hands-on learning experience, helping them understand nature, responsibility, and the importance of kindness.
The classroom has been buzzing with questions, laughter, and a whole lot of “aww!” moments, and we couldn’t be prouder of how caring and curious our Reception children have been.
We’ve captured some of these special moments in a short video to share with our school community – click below to watch and enjoy a glimpse into the joy these little chicks have brought to St. Francis!
Well done to our Reception class – you’ve been amazing little farmers!
